fatmemory.com - The plan to create the best platform for memory training

Let’s make it clear why I chose the name “fatmemory.com”. Most of the domains I wanted where either taken or were expensive. I also wanted something catchy. I feel “fatmemory.com” is catchy & the fact that our brains are mostly made up of fat (60%).

The Plan 📝

The site will have 5 crucial pillars. The tutorials to learn memory techniques, the games for practice, blogs on topics like mental health and diet, “major search” explained later & finally the IQ test.

Techstack 💡

The tech-stack isn’t final just yet because I need to make calculated and sane choices. I’m pretty sure that it’ll be built with Svelte & Sveltekit but I’m not so sure about the frontend framework and the database. I no longer want to use SkeletonUI because there’s not enough components and I feel a lack of flexibility. I guess that’s the point of SkeletonUI where you focus more on building the application itself. I want this project to have great UI/UX.

When it comes to the database, I’m going to need something that offers ridiculously fast search experience. Then comes the part of storing user’s data which includes their personal details, their scores and analytics. I have no idea how I’m going to provide any analytics to the user, but I’ll get there. For now, these are the finalized choices:
